Wholesale picking
Trade orders picked from the same stock pool as your DTC, so you are not holding two piles of inventory or reconciling two sets of numbers.
Same stock pool as your DTC
Scan-verified against the PO
Checked line by line before despatch
Allocation held if agreed up front
Wholesale picking, as you see it.
Picked and verified against the purchase order, size run by size run, from the same stock pool as your DTC orders.
Three steps, in order.
- One stock poolA wholesale order draws from the same bins as a consumer order. Nothing is ring-fenced unless you ask for it to be.
- Picked to the order, not the cartonSize runs, ratio packs and mixed cases picked and verified by scan against the purchase order.
- Checked before it shipsTrade orders are checked against the PO line by line, because a shortage to a stockist is a different kind of problem to a shortage to a consumer.
What that includes.
- Size runs and ratio packs
- Picked against the purchase order
- Same stock pool as your DTC orders
- Allocation held back for a drop if you need it
- Packing lists in the format the buyer wants
- Consolidated or split shipments
- The purchase order, with the size run or ratio pack
- Any allocation to ring-fence ahead of a drop
- The format the buyer wants packing lists in
- Picked and verified against the PO
- Carton content lists per numbered carton
- Consolidated or split shipments
- Shortages raised before despatch, not after
Wholesale and DTC compete for the same units. If you are running a drop and a trade order at once, one of them will be short unless we have agreed an allocation in advance — so tell us before the PO lands, not after.

Wholesale returns
Bulk stock coming back from a stockist has no customer order to match it to.
Pallets & cartons
Trade shipments built, wrapped, labelled and booked onto a pallet carrier, with the carton contents recorded so the receiving end can check against something.
Retailer compliance
Stockists have labelling and paperwork rules, and getting them wrong means a chargeback or a rejected delivery.
